BLOG, SUBSTACK OR OTHER TRAVEL CONTENT
Freelance travel content writer for brands that care about people and planet
If you’re a travel brand with no time to manage your digital content, like a blog or Substack, but staying connected with your audience matters, I can take it off your to-do list so you stay top of mind.
To blog or not to blog...
A travel blog can transform your website into a honey pot for your ideal customers – even while you sleep.
The thing is, managing a successful blog involves a lot more than just putting pen to paper. SEO research, sourcing images, uploading to your website, marketing and submitting to Google for ranking. On top of that, you have to come up with new and unique ideas every time you write.
With all of this to consider, it’s no wonder most blogs are left to gather digital dust.
Hey, I'm Emma!
A freelance travel content writer from the UK.
I’ve been writing travel content since I started my first business back in 2008, so I’ve got a good idea of what works and what doesn’t. I’m also a qualified copywriter, know my way around SEO best practices and actively maintain my own blog and Substack.
When we work together, you can expect to get way more than just words on a Google doc. I can handle everything from SEO and competitor research to crafting posts with personality, promoting them and tracking progress.
How does it work?
Quality content can have a lasting impact, bringing readers to your website for weeks, months, or even years to come – that’s a great return on your investment!

Travel content writing service
Because every project is different, my pricing depends on how much content you need, the word count and any extras you’d like included. If you have a budget in mind, I’m happy to shape the scope around it where possible. I also offer a bundle rate for 3-month+ retainers and multiple pieces of content.
Here are some example packages my existing clients have chosen in the past:
FAQs
Deciding how often to publish blog posts depends on various factors, including your goals, budget and audience preferences. However, I’d recommend aiming for consistent, high-quality content rather than worrying too much about frequency.
Pinterest isn’t a social media platform – it’s a powerful search engine. When users search for topics related to your blog, your pins can lead them straight to your site. Plus, unlike the temporary nature of social media content, your pins have about a six to twelve-month lifespan on the platform. If you’re blogging, Pinterest is a must-use platform to drive traffic.
I’m happy to agree on deadlines that will work for us both in our consultation call.
Our monthly calls will be the place for us to brainstorm ideas, but I’ll also research your target audience and search queries to write travel content that aligns with your brand.
Every project is different, so it’s really hard to say, but I’ll almost always charged a fixed fee based on my day rate of £380. The exact amount will depend on how much content you need, the word count and any extras you’d like included. If you have a budget in mind, I’ll happily work within it. I can give you better rates for 3-month+ retainers and multiple pieces of content. Reach out with your needs and let’s chat.
I’m open to exploring new territories if the project feels like a good fit. Aside from travel, I also enjoy writing about people, crafts, women-owned businesses, photography and more. Get in touch and tell me more about your project.
